Year 2024

Genuine partnership with Wurundjeri Elders through a co-design process identified opportunities within the Concept Master Plan to deeply embed Wurundjeri culture. The work explored Wurundjeri aspirations for future phases and how the project could deliver tangible social and economic benefits for local Aboriginal communities.

Indigenuity Lab developed an engagement methodology that respected Elders' capacity and program requirements. Cultural values mapping acknowledged old Country and the impacts of colonisation through landscape manipulation and displacement. We identified co-design opportunities that complemented cultural values captured through the future Greenline project, ensuring the work didn't duplicate culture already being expressed. The work created a space that embeds ANZ back into the existing cultural landscape and contemporary landscapes such as the Docklands Walking Trail and Webb Bridge (eel trap). The engagement report outlined recommendations for future phases.
