Kaylee Anderson is a Wiradjuri and Yorta Yorta/Bangerang woman and the Founder and Director of Indigenuity Lab, an Aboriginal-led consultancy specialising in Aboriginal engagement, Connecting with Country, co-design and strategic advisory across the built environment.

With two decades of experience spanning government, infrastructure, policy and Aboriginal affairs, Kaylee works at the intersection of Aboriginal self-determination, institutional decision-making and major project delivery.

Her experience includes leading Aboriginal engagement and co-design across major infrastructure projects, contributing to Victoria’s long-term infrastructure strategy, and developing approaches that strengthen the influence of Traditional Owner aspirations on planning, design and delivery.

Kaylee has worked across complex multidisciplinary environments, bringing together Traditional Owners, government agencies, designers, engineers and project delivery teams to translate engagement outcomes into meaningful and accountable project decisions.

Her career includes roles within the Australian Government, Aboriginal justice reform and infrastructure advisory. She has also represented Australia internationally as an official Australian Government delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in 2023 and participated as an NGO delegate in 2024.

Holding a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science, Kaylee brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her work, combining policy expertise, strategic thinking, cultural accountability and practical experience navigating complex institutions.

Through Indigenuity Lab, she advocates for Aboriginal engagement to be recognised as a specialist professional discipline, with its own expertise, responsibilities and authority within the built environment.

Her work challenges conventional approaches to consultation, focusing instead on genuine Aboriginal participation in decision-making, professional accountability and lasting outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
